Is it worth it???

Got a 8 year old Scag with a bad hydro pump. It's going to cost me 850 for a new pump! It is worth it or should I look for a newer machine? Thanks.

I know everyone's financial situation is not as good as mine but I go for new every time. I dont care how good of a dead it may be if I need something I buy it new.

Well to me, if it were the difference between paying $850 to fix a piece of equipment I had a history with and felt it was a good piece of machinery vs spending $1500 on another piece of machinery that was used and unknown to me, I would go with the $850 replacement part.
