Default Lawn Service back in buisness maybe?

Well guys I am back now. The U Haul dealer I worked at closed up on June 30th 2014. Mainly because the owner had health issues and he just couldn't keep running the business. But I scored big time on some used equipment. About 1 month ago I have received a Murray 21'' push mower with a Vantage 3.5 horse power motor. My grandma gave it to me and said that the mechanic who fixes there mowers said it had no compression and it will not start. Pulled the rope and it runs great every time I have no clue if it was a fluke or what. but now today my dads boss had a used leaf blower(craftsman) at his shop and I got it for free only because it needs a new gasket in the motor so I am going to look around for some gaskets and put one in and keep it running. Now I am not aloud to use my dads lx280 to mow so should I get a rider with a bad motor from the junk yard and fix it up or what? There's just one problem. I can't mow city yards because I don't live by any so that really sucks so what should I do?

Welcome back!

I would check around to see what mowers are out there before I put money into a broken down mower.

There are plenty of used Ztr's out there for cheap!!!

Good to hear from you.

Can you use your Murray to get yourself started up again before you buy anything else?

I don't know Steve. The yards I live by are three acres that may take awhile. unless I would walk 4 blocks too the trailer park to mow. But I can't because I did some research and their are sex offenders & child molesters living their.

Is it possible that any of these larger properties would let you use their mower (if it's bigger) to mow their lawn? Would it be worth asking?
