This week stunk big time

So I started off on Monday doing okay. I was finishing up a clients home and my leaf blower quit on me. I got it going again and finished the job but by the time I got to the next one it had quit again. Luckily the next job was on route past my house so I stopped by and picked up my old blower just in case. Got to the next job and it was a spring clean up. The back yard was nothing but weeds and vines but it was money that could turn into a large hardscape job. So I get half way through and the trimmer breaks down. I try to get out the bush cutter but it will not fit through the back gate. So I have to go back home and get my old trimmer. It works okay but is not as powerful and takes longer to use. Today on the first job my commercial mower quits on me. So I have to get out the old yard machine mower and it really slows me down. I take the commercial mower to my fix it guy and he doesn't have the part I need so it will be down for a week until he can get the part in. So I am stuck with the old push one for a bit. I am behind on the paper work but tonight I don't care. I just going to grab some 30 year old Scotch and sit in the hot tub. Hopefully in the morning when I wake up all the gremlins will be gone and I can finish out the week.

Lawn care business tips

I think we all have days or a week like this where it seems everything is against us, just keep your chin up, grin and bear it as hard as it is. I am curious about one comment, what are you using for a brush saw that you couldn't get through a gate? We use the Stihl FS550's and I have three types of blades for each unit depending on what we are doing or we will use the wheeled trimmers, Deere found me a cutting line, I forget the name of it but OMG this line goes through brush up t 1/2" like our mowers go through grass, it is simply shocking.

It is a DR Pro-XL Model DR Field & Brush Mower with a 26" deck. The problem was that they have so much junk behind the gate that it doesn't open all the way. Well today things will have to start looking up I guess.

There definitely is a mental game to business. When things get all crazy during the day and you get all stressed out, what's the best way to cool off so as to not say the heck with it all and quit?
