Default Two Breeze Days in one week???

Good lord what a week and what a day. Decided I would do a small job by myself, spread four loads of garden soil in an acre we cleared, the weather this week is off the map, rain, sun, snow, hail almost every day, things just start to dry and the skies open up.

Anyhow arrive at the site, step out of the truck, friggin wind catches the door out of my hand and it slams shut, keys and cell inside. Sit and wait for the garden soil to arrive for close to an hour, borrow his phone and call my son to bring me a spare, the driver and I laugh as we know each other well, I guide him back when the truck starts to slide sideways on the bedrock to the point we thought it would upset, not a good thing to upset 30 tons on a clients lawn, anyhow it was tilted so bad we didn't dare do anything and I sure didn't have anything big enough on site to move him so we call a truck towing company, explain the situation and they send a monster of a tow truck......glad the day is over and I wonder what will go wrong tomorrow.

Lawn care business tips
It must have been a day for locking keys and cell in the vehicle. I did the same thing. Called my wife for the spare and she couldn't get into her car. Locked her keys in her car too.

My spare on here ring and her spare on my ring. Deputy Shariff unlocked my door with a Slim Jim and pointed out that my registration expires tomorrow. Will have to wait until Monday for that. There goes half a day!

That is always the one thing I worry about most, locking myself out of the truck.

The wind today was a PAIN over here. I really thought we were going to have a storm, but the clouds just pushed on through.

I have opened my door, & before I could grab my keys the door would blow shut on my ankle... this is not rare for me, I just never learn.

I always remember take my keys, if not... I leave the windows open. I can be risssskayyy'

I did forget the keys in the truck last week & I have a habit of locking the doors with the button which is on the door before I step out of the truck.

Even though once you close the doors, they lock automatically (pain in the arse)

Anyway, couldn't get in the truck. Good news was I lived a block away from the customer & had another set of keys.

"Where ya going?"

... walking home, be back in 5...

I'm trying to figure out the best way to handle keys on a job site.

I HATE having them in my pockets along with my cell phone... I like to wear light clothing, like track pants & such to mowing jobs. Keys + phone = pants seem to want to fall down.

ANYWAY, those are some intense pictures you posted.

If I was the driver of that rig, I woulda probably gunned it as soon as I thought I was slipping... Probably woulda made things worse.

I wish I was there just to see how it happened! They should fix that damn road up.

That tow truck is crazy, I woulda loved to see it in action!

Andy:

Just as a point of interest; who paid the tow bill and/or the bill to fix the ruts in the customer's lawn?

I have locked myself out of a vehicle a time or two. I now carry at least one spare key for every vehicle I drive. I am not a big fan of hiding keys on a vehicle but I know some people do that. Just not me. Never have and don't expect to start doing so anytime in the future.

YOU GUYS JINXED ME!!!

LOCKED OUT MY MY TRUCK IN THE POURING RAIN!!!!

LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Thank god this client was ALSO only a block away. That SERIOUSLY sucked. Ruined my day, lol.

It wasn't even supposed to rain today! This project is behind schedule & my client is starting to nag like crazy. I wish I could control the weather just for him! Pshhh.

The company delivering pays for both, I have an Iron Clad contract that the client must sign, mainly for insurance, I would post it however I would need my lawyers permission but in short I am not responsible for any damage even if we cause it, if the client doesn't like the wording then I would walk but that has never happened.

I asked my insurance agent about this hiding keys, if I do, and the vehicle is stolen and the person who stold it used a hidden key, no insurance.

It's rare for me to do this, maybe 3 times in 30 years of driving but it has always been at the worst time.

Put a spare key in your wallet. It does not take much room.
