Default Mowers and Trailers

Ok First of al I got my first small trailer yesterday I was excited, I was on my way to my third lawn mow of the day and my truck started to wobble, It use to do this before I got new tires and I just had to have one of my brand new tires fixed cuz it went low. I was just saying damn back to the tire shop when bam, the wheel came flying off as I was driving down the road!

I had to get a new tire an lug nut managed to tow it to the place where I bought it all wobbly and they told me I didn't tighten the lugs.

I told them i did(which i did no doubt) then I had to drive 45 miles to get a new one. Finally at 10:30 i got home after leaving at 8:00am this morning. WOW!

Anyway how does every one fasten there mowers down to their trailers?

If I'm around the 30-40km zone for awhile, I take my chances & don't bother tying anything down as my customers are so close together.

Though I'm trying something new this year.

I just took apart one of my exercise machines & ripped out one of the heavy duty 'steel?' wires that support the weights. It has a nice little clip at the end of it, which I'll be using from now on.

I was trying to take the exercise machine apart to throw out as I needed more office space. Anyway, I decided to cut this wire... Broke quite a few tools trying to do just that! I had to take apart the machine piece by piece.

Now I have this magical wire

I'll just install it to the trailer.

There are several products available. One of them is a rather expensive but from my understanding is very affective. They are called ProLocker. I think this is on the high side price wise but it was just the one I found first.

The other one is more intended for push mowers and simply has something that you pin in place over the top of the wheel each time (I think that is the way it works).
