Lawn care business tipsLawn Care Business Book
You need to figure out what you are charging per sq ft.

Take the price you are charging and divide it by the yard size then you get the price to charge per sq ft.

Ex: $35 / 1000sq ft lawn = $.035 per sqft

Then what ever size the lawn is you are looking to bid on, plug it into the equation

$.035 x (sq ft of yard) = price to bid

Does that help?

What will be fascinating for you to do is look at what you are getting per sq ft per property and compare them. You may find that the sq ft price you are charging your different customers varies quite a bit.

You may also find, the larger the area, the lower you are charging per sq ft. Which would mean you are making less money on larger properties per sq ft.

Look at some of your yards and see if this is the case. Tell me if anything stands out from your analysis.
