Well, Cutter B should move his arse!

Should have taken them 1.5 hours to do the job.

I wont get into the, equipment, lawn size, etc... lol... That is my general answer.

I think it'd take cutter B 4.5 hours to cut the lawn by himself

Well, considering I got kicked out of high school, my ability to understand these sort of equations is rather far fetched.

I will go all Einstein right now if I must, but my equations make no sense to others but myself... LOL

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
So ADAM cuts Mrs. Turd's lawn in 3 hours.

Adam receives assistance from Bruce, & they are able to maintain Mrs. Turd's lawn in 2 hours. Together they have saved ONE hour of work.

Adam quits, & Bruce is left to maintain Mrs. Turds lawn all by himself.

We never know though, maybe Adam was a slacker once he had BRUCE around. Who slowed who down? Hmm? Hahaha!

Anyway, Bruce has to get this lawn finished, but from what we know he's less efficient than Adam.

Bruce maintains Mrs. Turd's lawn in "TWO" hours?

How the hell did I come up with that answer????

3.5 hours

Question

i too was kicked out of school. lol.
&i never thought questions like this
would come up. but im gonna try to
solve it.

ohk
*this is me trying to figure it out. V. so if it doesnt make
sense..oh well.*
a can do it in 3 hours.

they can do it together in two.
so split that time in half and they
are each doing half the yard in 1 hour.

so 3 hours it takes A alone..
plus the two hours longer it takes B to
do it..
so 5 hours?

B is only giving A one hour of help.
so itd take him 2 hours in the amount of time
A could do it on one.

eh.
idk im sleepy
and im gonna go with 5 hours.

A= 1/3 yard per hour

so 2(1/3 +b)=1 for cutting 1 yard in 2 hours for A and B

solve for b and b=1/6

so B=1/6 yard per hour so it would take cutter B 6 hours to cut one yard.
yay.
