Default Trucks

So don't laugh I have a Dodge Ram 2500 full bed 2 wheel drive I got for pretty cheap about 4 years ago. I know dodges are known for there gas comsumtion but I was getting about 5km per liter a few months ago. I changed air filter oil filter plus all the reg maintenance and the spark plugs and spark plug wiring. It seems to be right out the door now with like 3.5-4 km per liter what eles can I do and does anyone have a dodge that is this bad lol

Thanks, guys

Default Check ur cats

How many miles? Bad cats would be my guess. What size motor and miles would be best guess at any problems. I have an 02 v10 2500 havent had it long enough to have your problem but been on many dodge forums mainly to fine bolt ons for it(not a common motor).

Bad cats is when the catilitic converters get clogged on the exhaust. But when that happens the truck will normally run like crap. The 360 motor you have (5.9) has been notorious for bad gas mileage. I have the 4.7L motor in my dodge and it did ok (14-15 mpg) in the city but I put a little bigger tires on it and it dropped to 12 mpg.

That has happened to me before. If the truck feels like a dog. You hit the gas and it just isn't response and it takes a while to build up speed, the cat can be clogged. If it is, it has been my experience it is melted inside from excess gas in the exhaust and need to be replaced.
