New member thought I would drop a line or 2. Name is Coltonand I live in Arizona. My service area includes Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, and Tempe witch is a good number of homes with all sorts of incomes and lots of competion. youngerBeen doing lawn care since I was 10 actually younger then that pushed a plastic lawn mower round everytime my gpa would mow the yard when I was 3 or so Im told. Im finally ready to start my business both out of necessity and want. Been preparing business wise for 3 or so years Im only 23 this coming april so its not like the candles getting that much shorter. Im hoping to have 10 -15 clients before the summers thru, we will see how that pans out. Im a hard worker with all the support in the world from freinds and family cause or this. Anyways nuff bout me Ive been using this site for the last month or so figured I should jion up and get involved. Equipment wise does any know much about the husquavarna brand they seem great to me just wondering the experience out there? and does anyone kinda stick with 1 brand or do you have a brand of chioce for each need? I might have to move these questions else where seeing how this is the introduction...

Welcome to the forum!

The best way to decide which equipment to use, is through your nearest & best dealer.

If you can get quality service for your equipment, without wasting time, whatever brand of equipment these guys sell - is your brand.

Though if I had to choose, honestly I am very satisfied with Sthil & Toro.

The equipment looks "right", it works great *****, & it's always money well spent.

Toro & Sthil go hand in hand.

A more expensive approach if you consider expansion, Walker mowers are my favorite.

I have never heard anyone say something positive about Husq.

Welcome and good luck this year

I run a mix match of machines

toro 21"
craftsman 33"
wright stander 52"

shindawa, redmax, echo, and kawasaki for my small stuff

start off small only buying what you need, go bigger as the job requires and profits increase.

I've seen a lot of people go under because they spend too much too soon.

Default Marketing plan thus far....

I got 1000 business, cards 500 flyers, craigslist ads and signs for my trailer to make it a rolling bilboard . Looking for a place to put some business cards but cnt seem to think of a place where i would think it would be benificial maybe Im thinking to hard and it just needs to be a high traffic area. As for the flyer I'll be doing a modified door hanging where I will go door to door and actually talk with people as to both save my flyer supply and have a face to my company nt just a peice of paper that get throughn in the trash soon as they pick it up. Aside from that Im nt sure have a few word of month leads from family and friends but those seem to be both slow and hard to get a hold of.

Now that you are looking, I think more places will stand out. Keep your eyes open when you visit different stores and check to see near the entrances if they have a bulletin board of sorts. Ask your friends and family to keep an eye out too.
