Well I just talked with a friend of my brother, he puts together the towns 4th of july parade, well he said he needs one more vehicle to fill it out. so of course I said I'm in!

I'm waiting on the rest of my lettering to come in, my friend should be done with that soon, I know he's busy with alot of stuff right now, so that will look good, I'm trying to think of something big and patriotic to do to get attention. I'm having strobes put in the corner lenses for safety so I can run them while in the parade to get attention too. I'm thinking of taking the 5th wheel ball out of the bed and putting a bil ol flag up in there?

Any other ideas to get people to remember the name?

Lawn care business tips
Will you be pulling a trailer at all? Could you make it into a float? Or will this just be your truck?

From what he said, it's just the truck. I'm driving the parade director (our friend) so I'll have magnetic signs on the bed that say parade director and his name. He said they'll do some decorating to the vehicle if I want, streamers, stuff like that.

I'm still thinking of some different stuff I can do, I don't want to spend a ton trying to put together a float (or a ton of time), so it would have to be pretty simple if I did that, I'm sure he'd let me pull a trailer if I wanted.

Here are a few sites I am reading up now to get more ideas. This has the potential to be a lot of fun!

http://www.crs-enterprises.com/float.htm
http://www.valleydecorating.com/howto.html
http://www.summerlink.com/events/jul...ld_a_float.pdf

Oh and this is awesome.

http://www.atomicdc.com/planoparade/...0a%20Float.pdf

You could totally put this together in a few days I bet!

Ok how about this. Do up a trailer a bit with red white and blue then put your mower on it. Get some kind of costume, like a king with a crown and then you could sit on it waving. Call your float the lawn care king?

It would be totally outrageous and would have people talking for quite a while after this.

I bet there would be pictures of you in the paper as well.
