From my understanding, the sales tax was created to help pay for things like fire protection and other services needed to sell things local when you have a physical presence. The internet really threw the government officials for a loop because they haven't seem to be able to figure out a way to tax everything yet. If something is sold out of state, should that other state collect the sales tax? Or should the home state? Now does each business owner have to track where they ship items to and pay sale tax collection to 50 different states through out the year? Can you imagine doing that? What a nightmare that would be. Interesting information of sales tax here. Throughout most of American history, taxes were levied principally on consumption. Alexander Hamilton, one of the two chief authors of the anonymous Federalist Papers, favored consumption taxes in part because they are harder to raise to confiscatory levels than incomes taxes.[5] In the Federalist Papers (No. 21), Hamilton wrote:

The Google Business listing is sometimes misunderstood. People approach it in the same way they do SEO. Actually, it's exactly the opposite.

The more info Google can find that exactly matches your GB listing, the higher you will rank in the "10 box"

This includes address, phone #, video and photos FLICKR and tags. Rather then spending a day(s) listing yourself everywhere, this company will do it for $30
