Default China companies "clone" the Honda CR-V

While researching something unrelated I stumbled across this article.

It reminds me that if you build something good, it will most likely be cloned.

What are your thoughts about all these Chinese clones?

Lawn care business tips
I can't imagine any industrial country allowing those vehicles in.

They are trying so hard to be major players in the world economy, maybe they figure the first step is to copy. Sooner or later they will most likely get their acts together but it seems they have a long way to go.

It's fascinating too how they have such an authoritative rule over there yet they flout any international laws.

Default Quality

After WW2 Made in Japan ment jumk! They had to put out anything and everything just to feed their people. Their industry and government sought help from W. Edwards Demming an Americal quality expert.

Dr. Demming went to Japan because he saw America as going the same route - making junk. After all America was about the only manufacturing country still intact! They knew whatever they made would be sold as fast as they could make it no matter what the quality.

Japanese quality soon surpassed us. and we have been playing catch up ever since. I bet that you didn't that Toyota is the only truely American made care here now. Everything in an American made Toyots is produced in America and assembled in America. It may be Japanese design but it is made in America.

China's Quality will soon be their downfall. Consumers quickly recognise and avoid junk. China is now at the point we were in 1946. If they make , they can sell it. R & D (Rob and Duplicate) only works if the product is as good or better than what you copied. And playing catch-up is hell!

Do you for see a time when the Chinese get their act together and make better cars than anyone else? Will it be possible for them to become an economic power house under their current government?

I do not believe China will become a lasting economic power house under their current government.

Japan succeeded because the government stood back and let them go for it. Industry runs industry in Japan. Employees in Japanese companies are for the most part, employees for life. They buy their groceries at the company store, send their kids to the company school, make almost all their purchases thru the company, go to the company hospitals and clinics when they are sick. hierocracyis kept to a minimum.

China regulates everything thru the party. Their bureaucracy is even worse than American hierocracy. They like American companies will eventually look at quality plans like the Toyota plan and pick and chose parts that fit in to their already failing system adding even more layers of bureaucracy.

Quality sells and endures. Cheap prices only sustain for a short time!

Do you think at some time in the future, the government will have to change in order to allow the country to keep going in it's current direction?

It seems very difficult to stifle a country of people once they have luxuries and communication and money. It is easier when everyone is poor and spread out, working the fields, but now, do you think they will push for further freedoms? Or where can they go with this?

Communism and So******m is not sustainable and never will be. In both ideoligies everyone is equal. But, some are more equal than others. The party leaders are becomming millionars and billionars, but the general citizens are only a little better. It's funny how capitalism is so bad yet is practiced by the privalaged few. The greater the distance by the privalaged few to the masses, the more certain democracy will follow.

I'm sure there are many underground factions working on this right now. Underground for fear of their lives. Fear can only go so far before rebels (or patriots) unite.

It makes me think of how Russia tried to get it's act together on the world stage after the thawing of the cold war. For a while it seemed like they were getting their footing but then they seemed to have fallen back into their old way of doing things.

Those who are in power tend to not want to let go of their power and Russia seems to be flailing now.

The problem is too many people here in the US are not concerned about the fact they are buying junk. Their philosophy is that if they buy junk that just means they can buy "new" junk more often. They are content with buying junk.

I, on the other hand, I like to buy something and keeping it for a while. I try to buy good quality tools and this is for multiple reasons. One reason is I like to reward the manufacturer of a good piece of equipment/tool. In the shop I need good tools because poor quality tools tend to destroy the equipment I work on (example would be a cheap screw driver stripping and damaging a screw or a socket slipping and rounding off corners of a bolt). Good quality only makes sense.

But I think that society is addicted to, and content with crap, and thus they will buy it because it is "cheaper".
