Ice Melt Spreader... (walk behind)

Season is almost over, but here in Indiana we could have some more storms for the upcoming week according to early forecast reporting. I've been using a John Deer walke behind spread this season for ice melt and it's about to fall apart. Thought I'd try and use it for the remainder of the season to avoid buying a walk behind spreader, but I dont think itll make it. Anybody have any particular walk behind brand/model that they have had good luck with? Generally I am throwing pellot ice melt, but occasionally they give me rock ice melt that doesnt do near the job as the pellot hoops. Not sure which brand to go with , but I'm expecting to spend about $400. No more seed spreaders will be used for salt b/c they just arent set up for it. Any ideas/sugestions would be appreciated!
