Thanks for posting the link to my web site and the old video. That load test was done in June 2004 using Serial number ONE of my patented dump kits. I installed the kit on my friends truck to check the fit and function. I had no control over how much weight he put in it, this was the first load it dumped, wasn't even broken in yet. Look at the springs, the axel is on it's travel bumpers. The old digital camera was limited to between 15 and 20 seconds of recording, so it didn't capture the empty ending. That truck is still in service with no replacement/repair parts or bed damage. Serial number 2 in June 2004 had improvements and is also still in service with the only repair part a $12 solinoid for the pump motor. I complained, so the pump manufacturer changed the specs to improve the pump. All my kits come with a 36 month warranty because I stand behind my workmanship. I personally manufacture each part as if it was going on my own truck. When you call my phone number I answer it 24/7. I can say "Building the best dump kits since 2003" because it's true. You can't buy a better underbody dump, it doesn't exist. I bought my first dumping pickup in 1985. It had the Jet brand kit on it and I used it commercially until 1994 with no kit or bed problems other than rust and dents. Unfortunately, those kits don't fit '99-up short bed GM's, so I had to design my own. They still don't fit, and that will never change. Even if they did fit, you'd lose your spare tire, hitch and bumper towing ability. With my kit you keep the bumper, hitch and spare tire.

I was thinking around $5 but after looking @ 20 different trucks I found out most are not "used" but "used-up" and would cost a ton just to get road ready and time I don't have

yeah, you cant get a dump in even ok shape for less then 10k.
