my name is dallas im 19 i just started a lawncare service this year i cut grass through high school to make some extra money nothing serious i graduated last year and decided this is what i wanted to do i have done pretty good this year its been alot of learning i have alot of questions im pretty sure with all the knowledge here i should get most of them answered

first step i want to make next year is to chnage my name its affordable lawncare but im tired of doing the normal house i have probably 5 nice yards that are sod and im looking to get into some commercial but i have no expierence with bidding them or knowing what goes in the bid or even when contracts run out do you go talk to them in the spring or do they run out in january and also what books and software would you recommend

I'd figure with a little time working on residential properties, you will certainly be able to scale that up to commercial properties.

Keep track of the amount of time it takes you to perform lawn care services on the sizes of properties that you are working on. When you want to bid on larger properties you can break it down into sizes you are used to working on and that will help you estimate the time better.

and also i was reading a couple of weeks ago and cant seem to find it something about fall cleanups and you had posted a picture of a pumpkin trash bag do you mind putting that on here so i can see it again

There is tons and tons of info here on Gopher, and all the guys and girls on here are all nice and are all willing to give advise and Steve Low will help out and he has lots of ideas and I highly recomend if you want commercial accounts you got to get Steve's book How To Get Commercial Lawn Care And Snow Plow Customers, I order the book and I am learning alot of things that I would have never even thought about.

And again all the people on here are soooooo nice and helpful..
