What if you got a friend to interview you in front of a camera?

Editing perspective;

You can first position the camera of your friend asking all of the questions.

Secondly, position the camera towards you while you answer all of the questions.

Example;

Tom: Between the two, which do you prefer - hamburgers or hotdogs?
Tom: Do you own a cat?
~switch camera angle
Fred: I prefer hamburgers.
Fred: No, I hate cats.

_____

Now, when you edit the video, the camera will maintain the correct position every time while focusing on whoever is speaking. You will just have to do a bit of splicing work. In the end, your video will look more professional.

___________

You can also color correct the video, so that it maintains the proper feel. I think you are able to (to an extent) by using Windows Movie Maker. I know it's a piece of crap, but it's free.

Here's an example, using pictures;

*NOTE: I did not use windows movie maker for the above.

It's not the best example above, as it's more of a personal preference rather than a professional one.

For fun, take a look into this article, you'll love it!

_____

Anyway, just a quick idea I had. I'm thinking of doing something, maybe a few video shots of my work thrown into the interview.

____

As for sound, download "audacity" - record yourself on your computer, not the camera. This is better for those who don't have $1k mics sitting around. It makes editing easier.

And then you gotta add some kind of 'ramping' effect. Where you do something cool and you slow down the motion to really show it off. LOL that would be great.

I've tested my camera against the speed of the trimmer... not enough FPS!

I wanted to slow it down to show the grass being sliced, lmao. Would make an interesting video! I want it so slow, you can see the trimmer cord!

Then maybe a shot of me diving onto the street as a clients property bursts into flames.... Then I'll put the text, "It's not nice to step on a land mine, please pick up your dog crap"

Or something along those lines...

Anyway, I was very vague with my idea here - but in theory, I believe a self created interview would be nice for customers to take a look at. You can discuss how you operate, what the client should expect, etc.

Scott how about one of these?

Amazing 2048 x 2048 resolution at 1000 fps. 1920 x 1080 at 2000 fps.

I'd figure that would be a good enough frame per second rating to capture a line trimmer cutting grass.

I agree and think you should experiment with it.
