Commercial Quote Please Help

Customer called today and wanted a quote on two things. 1- Weekly lawn care. Mow, trim and edge and blow. 2- The person that was doing the work was blowing all of the leave to the back of the building and leaving them piled up. They want them removed along with the small sticks from the old trees that have fallen. 1 Specs 12200 sq ft of grass to mow, trim, edge, blow weekly 900 sq ft to trim They have a 50 x 5 section of bushes that need to be trimmed the first time. 30 trees to trim around They also asked about watering the lawn and bushes weekly 2 Should I charge by the hour for leaf and stick removal and the blowing the parking lot. If you have been doing this awhile and have somewhat of an idea of how many man hours it will take you, I would give him your hr rate, $ per man hr and approx time you think it will take to do the job. In doing so give an hr or 2 at the higher end just encase you misjudged the work load. Good Luck!

I am new to lawn care. I am not sure what to charge or what the going rates are.

I would go with Sprinkler Buddy and charge hourly rate for those services if you know how long it will mostlkly take and again like he said add an hour or two to be safe.
My real question is the watering. Does he expect you to use his water and a sprinkler? If so you will have to keep coming back to move the sprinkler as that is a fairly large area. Or is he expecting you to have the means via a truck/trailer with a water tank to water the lawn?
If it is using his water and a sprinkler that's going to be time consuming to keep going there to move the sprinkler and you need to do it like 3-4 times a week to be effective. If you do sprinkler systems I would suggest that route instead. You would get a repeat customer on the maintenance and winterizing of the system too. If you don't do it I would link up with a company and set up a referal program through them and let him be the first referal......mind you it is 2 am and my spelling is horrible sorry... keep us posted.

How big of an area do these leaves cover? How deep are the leaves?

Would you be able to just rake them all onto a tarp and pull them out to your trailer?

Or how do you plan to do this?
