Default New Bed Edger needs repair.

So i got a new bed edger (a huge relief since i dont have to use a manual anymore)

its 180 new (box store but its better than nothing) i bought it for 20

it was discounted because the previous owner put mix fuel into the tank

NOW

heres the problem

i ran it to the point where it will idle but you can still tell that something is clogged up because it hits higher RPMs at half throttle than it does full and it wants to die almost

it runs real rough

heres what i did,
dumped tank
took out spark plug
pulled a few times to get any extra fuel out as i could
put the plug back in (it wasnt corroded)
put new fuel in and ran it at full throttle until it ran out (after it ran out it was able to idle on its own meaning it helped clean)

put a second tank in also added seafoam (got a little better)
its still runnign rough though and i wanted to know what you guys think

there is oil in the crankcase and right now its on half tank of gas/seafoam

At $20 I would put it on Craigslist for $150 then go buy a good stick edger.

But maybe run a bit of fuel injection/ carb cleaner through it or another dose of seafoam. Or take it to a shop and let them mess with it, it may just need an adjustment.

you might try mechanic in a bottle. It seems to be a lot more powerful then seafoam. We have had luck using it on carbs that are hard to get kits for to clean correctly. I would not try to set a carb without a tac as you could mess it up just take it to a shop to have the carb set.

Personal preference. I find them easier to maneuver/ work with.

For $20 I would go with the other style though.
