Default New to the Business & Forum

Hello All, My name is Justin and I'm taking the leap and becoming a lawn care business owner. I've always wanted to be my own boss, and put all my hard work towards my own future and not some corporation's profit margin.

I've got a lot to learn about the business, but I know I have what it takes to be successful. I'm exciting to learn from you all and your experiences.

Thanks

Justin

I've legally registered my business and met with my accountant.

I've also been working hard with trying to develop my brand image. So far once my logo was complete I've been able to:

design & print my business cards
Design & print lawn signs
Truck Lettering (Designed not installed yet)
Website design almost finished.
Designed a spring cleanup flyer

I'm in the process of gathering equipment:

I picked up a 6x12 single axle landscape trailer

I have a craftsman garden tractor for now!

I'm looking for a push mower, trimmer, edger and blower

any recommendations?

Thanks

You sound like you are doing great! Now just get out there and start meeting people and get them to sign up for lawn care

Keep us posted on how things go!

sound's like your off to a great start.. i dont use the spendy equipment like alot of lawn care business owners do. I use echo weed eaters and blowers they are reasonble price. and i use just a toro push mower for now. i would say just go with what you want it dont have to be expensive.
