Scott,

How and when do you feel a customer handbook like that should be presented?

Were there individual experiences you have had in the past that led to these different topics in your handbook?

Do you feel there are more topics you would like to cover in it?

The handbook should probably cover the basics like mentioned above, anything to make your customers feel comfortable with you, and give you an edge over your competition.

If others would like to create more pages, why not create additional pages you send out every month, as long as your customers subscribe at no cost.

These pages would include details and pictures of your latest work,
Do-it-Yourself tips and tricks.... etc.

As for handing out a handbook, I have yet to do it. But I cannot wait to try!

In a sense, the customer handbook could lead to a monthly newsletter sent to the customer.

I look forwards to your updates on how the customer handbook goes over with your customers.

With the employee handbook idea, what topics do you feel you would want an employee to know?

Planker - look down below at message #8. They are at the bottom of that message.

Very impressive work on the handbook Scott.

Thats the customer handbook. Designed for the expectations the customer should have of the company. I was looking for the expectations and rules for employees.

For those of you that are interested in using the one steve posted, here is directions on how to change every instance in it that says lawn care inc, very simple.
====================

Instructions.

1.1
Open your document in Word 2003 by clicking "File," and then "Open." Click the file you want to edit.

2.2
Scroll to the top of the document. Click before the first word so that your text cursor appears at the beginning of the document.

3.3
Click "Edit," and then "Replace." Or press "Ctrl" and "H" at the same time.

4.4
Type the word you want to find. For example, if you want to change every instance of the word "stewardess" to "flight attendant," type "stewardess" into the field next to "Find what."

5.5
Type the replacement word in the field next to "Replace with." For the example above, type "flight attendant."

6.6
Click "Find Next." Word will highlight the word whenever it appears. Click "Replace" to replace the word. Repeat until you reach the end of the document.

7.7
Use "Replace All" if you want to replace every occurrence of the word.

8.8
Do an advanced find and replace. Click "More" for additional options.

9.9
Find or replace by format. You can find words in a certain font, paragraph, style and so on. Verify that you have your cursor in the corresponding field to apply the option to the right word.

10.10
Find and replace "Special." These are elements of a document that aren't words, such as page breaks, tabs and graphics.
