I was wondering if it really matters what size deck you have on your Rider mowers to a customer? Weather or not a 54' and a 48' zero turns will be ok do commercial work and residential? i know that the only thing is that time wise it will hurt you a little bit but i was just wondering if it mattered to the customers. thanks Grass Kickin'

Lawn care business tips

For me it does as most lawns that we look or looked after are not perfectly flat so we use 48" to help with scalping, we do have 60" finish mowers that I still have and use on very large open areas, these are great as we are mowing 10 feet at a time.

What is your view on why the 48" deck is the max you want to go with when it comes to mowing lawns that have hills?

Why does that size tend to not scalp as much as others?

Also what is your view on the 60" mowers? Do you find that size is the max you'd like to work with for more open spaces?
