Default Echo 620 or 770?

I have been looking to buying a new blower and am stuck between the echo 620 and 770. Is the extra $50 worth the upgrade to the 770? The max air speed for the 620 is 185 and 770 is 205. I am thinking that the 620 is enough power for just regular lawn maintenance and will do ok with blowing leaves. I know the 770 will work a lot better with blowing leaves but I am really only blowing a lot of leaves at this time of the year so.. What do you guys think? Do any of you guys use either of these blowers? Thanks in advance for the comments!

Brian how has the difference in the air speed helped you on jobs?

The air volume for the 620 is 530cfm and the 770 is 765cfm. That's a pretty big difference. I wouldn't choose the lesser to save a few bucks. I've never said "I wish my blower wasn't so powerful".

to tell you the truth, I wish my blower was stronger. it has a hard time pulling leaves out from high grass (4inch because I have a cheapo who has me cut like every 3 weeks in the fall and biweekly in the summer) iT also has a hard time digging out leaves from inside bushes

When I bought my blower it was the most powerful blower that Lowe's carried but I'm sure there are stronger ones out there

I would think it could make all the difference too when it comes to moving wet leaves as well.

Definitely, I hate wet leaves since my blower struggles with them

Any lawn care company should get the bigger one, Its like when your getting a trailer or something- You always think its big enough but then you always wish it was just a little bigger to fit just one more thing.. All of my lawn care trucks carry the echo 770 so when they need the extra power they have it without question cause time is everything in the business it will either make you money or lose it to employees taking extra time trying to do something with less of a machine.

Do you ever find that at a certain point, the blowers just get too heavy to be carrying around on your back?

How big or a deal then is the weight vs power issue?

They really aren't that much heavier and I do believe the new Echo is lighter than my 10 year old model. They also come with better straps now. They are wider and distribute the weight a bit better.
