finally getting a break from the heat!

We have had 46 days of temps over 100 degrees. It finally broke today are temps 92 degrees with 30 % humidity our low was 71 degrees we had rain last night which produced around .25" of rain which is a lot here. We havent had any rain since like around march. But by tuesday were suppost to be back around 108. The longest time on record of temps over 100 degrees in a row is 66 days.

hasnt affected us much but havent been getting many calls for mowing service only clean ups. The biggest thing is my customers are complaining about there water bills. We have to water a lot to keep grass green. I have a 24X24 grass area and my water bill was 54 bucks i used 12,000 gallons of water. Most of my customers water bills are around 80-150 bucks a month. I had one guy call for a bid last week and his water bill is around 400 a month.

So with it being so hot here everyone uses there a/c and having to water so much, those 2 bills can be as much as a mortage payment.

I live 1 hr from las vegas nevada.

Well been a while since I drove to vegas but north south east west? South puts you 3-4hr away from me..... but thats forest area unless your by the Grand Canyon.

i am north east of vegas up i-15 and around 30 miles west from mesquite nv. my back yard is the valley of Fire state park and lake mead. I used to take care of the Overton Beach Marina before all the water dried up.
