Default Fun Stuff!

So I've gotten into watching, "The Simpsons" www.wtso.net (all episodes)

I've come across a few every now & then that inspire me. 'Homer' always ends up trying these neat money making ideas that I actually put thought to.

Well Marge started a pretzels on wheels biz, Bart started something like this;

http://www.entrepreneur.com/businessideas/1234.html

Does anyone have any information on this, the legal side?

It sounds rather fun to do & makes peoples lives easier. I have had difficulty finding addresses for several reasons besides being it late in the day.

A good catch like stated in the post, "Emergency" emergency vehicles can locate your home faster with the aid of reflective paint shining your address from the curb. Nothing obstructs the view other than the oddly parked car.

ANYWAY, how legal is this? Where can I find more information?

A funny video:

Question #2 & interest of the day....

Snow removal... I want a snow blower for my truck, price range? Damage repairs/ profit?

I wish there was more to do during the winter, I love snow removal - but I want great equipment with a low risk.

With lawn maintenance, the damage risk wont kill you. You break a part on a mower - you pay $500.00 or less... Nothing to cry over.

But running a snow blower on the truck could destroy the truck along with my snow removal AND lawn maintenance service. What are the chances?

I want something to do this winter, but I want to be a step up from shovels & walk behind snow blowers.

A snow plow on the truck sounds great, but in Montreal even I would be laughing at myself along with everyone else.

I can't imagine reversing into a driveway in order to plow the snow forward (out of the driveway)... I'd get stuck right away with the amount of snow we get.

I want to stay warm, hear music, do snow removal. Any solutions? Give me options, prices, etc.

Manpower, shovels & snow blowers aren't able to take on a profitable amount of driveways before they fatigue. I need speed & a never ending source of energy......

Or an enclosed compact tractor the size of a bobcat, that'd be fun...

for what you are asking, I think the small utility tractor idea is the best.
You can get them with cabs, heat, etc. I've seen a guy in town that uses his riding mower and puts a cab on it. in the front is a snow blower and on the back he attaches a blade. I've seen him us the blade on it.
He backs up and pulls the snow to the sides kind of in a diagnal pattern. Here you may not plow snow onto the street, it has to be plowed or blown onto the yard.

Scott,

A while back we talked about home number painting on curbs and there is a free flyer on here that promotes it. I think it's a great way to reach out to new customers.

What kind of legal issues are you concerned about with it?

The home owners don't own the curbs against their properties, apparently the city owns 2ft of everyones lawn from the tip of the curb.

Would it be considered vandalizing city property?

How do they handle this in your area though? Some neighborhoods require you to put your street number on the curb.

I didn't even think of that but I can't imagine that would be a problem. But who knows though.
