I got a little help from a freind on biiding this one, thought that i would not really make money. boy was i wrong, from the time i got out of my truck. untill i left 61 min. including trimming 160 feet of 10 shrubs, clean up, and dump the trach into thier burn pile 65 dollars. wow this is making me feel a lot better. from unemployed construction worker to lawn man with 15 customers, 2000 a month in regular billing and thngs like this. WHY DIDN'T I START THIS YEARS AGO?

WHY DIDN'T I START THIS YEARS AGO? Getting paid is a feeling of "being complete" Finishing a job is similar, but not as rewarding. When I get paid, I feel as if I just lost 100 pounds & I'm floating. Congratulations on your trim job!

If you were to have bid it on your own, how do you feel your bid would have differed from what your friend helped you bid?

What kinds of advertising has helped you get your customers? How long did it take to get them?

I would have bid this for about 40 bucks, not having any idea what to bid.

I use the local penny saver, display ad "lawn mowing, shrub trimming". it cost about 48 bucks a month (4 weeks) and has gotten me 15 customers, on weekly or bi weekly cuts,and now two hedge trimming jobs.

My father in law had a business for about 40 years and the only advertising he did was the penny saver, and at his 'height' he was knocking down 1 to 150 K per year.
