1. Word of mouth & confrontation are the best ways to gain clients, also giving people the opportunity to observe your work.

2. Flyers of all kinds draw in business, some people do prefer tacky unprofessional ads. Sometimes itís ok to fix what isnít broken, being unique has itís advantages.

3. There is no such thing as a perfect customer. Donít get your hopes up! You will waste time, money, & effort trying to please at least one customer.

4. You can never be completely organized, or settled. Things are constantly being adjusted, not everything is in your control so donít stress out.

5. Honesty is key. If a customer knows his/her boundaries on what to expect out of you - you will be better off.

6. Lowering your price hurts you, & makes it even more difficult to raise.

7. Nothing is free, you donít run a charity. Charge your customers when possible, itís business.

8. People may try persuading you into giving them a special deal, these deals always result in you losing. Just replace the bad with the good & always keep your guard up.

9. When a customer hints at switching companies, let them leave - do not negotiate your price.

10. Sometimes you have to leave your area to gain new business.

11. You surround yourself with people who could bring you all the business youíll ever need, you just have to open your eyes.

12. Be a customer of your business, this is the best way to figure out where you need to improve.

13. dont call back a new customer right away, this makes you seem desprit if you wait till the end of the day or the next morning they think/know your a buisy guy and not think that you can run to there every need.

14. you have a schedual and should stick to it more will get done this way.

It's always a price issue. Customers are always looking for a better deal, & will often try & convince me to lower my price. It's rather annoying to answer these calls.

Though if it's a service issue, I guess it's good criticism & if you are unable to adapt to the clients needs, move on.

What's the best way to deal with customers that are on you about price? Can you offer to add another service for just a little more? Would trying an upsell at such a time help or no?
