Default shrubs/hedges

I have a customer that wants me to trim some shrubs. I told him he should wait a month until we stand a better chance of being out of cold snaps. We live in North Florida and are getting ready for another possible freeze. Any tips or confirmation on my advice.

It's bad news to trim hedges in the Winter. If there is a chance of it freezing over you can really shock the hedges. I would think it would be best to wait until a bit warmer of weather.

I live in the Northeast,no problem trimming hedges in late fall after killing frost hits. Less to clean up because most of the hedges leaves are fallen off. Remember most of all life giving Sap runs to the Roots. No chance of shocking hedges. this is a myth. Carry on.!
