Older trimmers

My father gave me two line trimmers the other day. Neither run at the moment. They both seem well built though. One is a Ryobi 790r, the other is a IDC 580 Supreme. Anybody know anything about them? Are they any good? Worth my time working on them?

They are little better than any Weedeater brand trimmer. They are simple consumer grade trimmers that were intended for 1-2 seasons of use trimming one yard per week. If you get them repaired or tuned up, they may last several seasons or 2 weeks.
