Default Mulch bed Edging estimate?

I have a customer that has 3 trees in 3 separate beds of mulch. He wants them all edged.
The diameter of the beds is about 5 feet.
He wants 3 inches of grass uprooted and removed.

So that's like 50 feet of edging, removing sod too.

How long do you think this would take? This is my first edging job so I don't really know. Thanks

edit- i'm doing this by hand and shovels/tools

Good find Steve, sometimes I get swamped

As I was re-reading that article and post. It never really hit upon how many linear ft a person could edge in an hour, either manually or with a gas powered edger.

Maybe manually you could edge 50 to 75 feet an hour? With a gas powered edger could you do that in a couple of minutes?

Charge between .50 cents to $1 per linear foot for edging?

Come on Steve, You only read and respond to 10's of thousands of posts a year. Can't remember one? Just kidding, I have trouble remembering what I read yesterday!

I think I would charge $1.00 per foot.

Steve
