How did you go about doing the job? Did you know with a little bit of simple planning you could have done this job in seconds all by yourself? He was trimming & using my blower for 3 hours, while he had my brother use one of those pathetic yard vacuums that honestly DO NOT WORK AT ALL!!! I told him that instead of wasting my gas, use it wisely & blow the debris on the lawn & rake up the big stuff. Then I will mow the rest of it up when the rains done. Or he could have used his mower. Anyway I gotta go make some dinner I'm starved! I'll be back to update!!! Hope you all have had a great weekend, I saw "Night at the Museum 2" it was lame. Lol. Ok, first of all, when it comes to family and discounts, I think there are 2 perspectives. Mine and then my family's (hypothetically that is. Currently I have no problems with my family in this way.) Here is their perspective (hypothetically): Since we are family, he needs to give us a discount. We are family after all. Here is my perspective (again, hypothically): They need to pay me at least full price since I am family and they, of all people, should help me be successful in my business. Actually, I think family should pay me more than full price. Now granted, if I choose to give them a discount then that is my business. But you don't deserve a discount just because you are family. The way I look at it is there are 2 sides to this story. You want a good deal. I want a good deal.... And sorry, you don't borrow my tools without permission, especially if you have a track record of not properly caring for them (letting a blower sit out in the rain). As far as your step-father complaining about you not helping him, I concur that if he does not let you know, you have no way of knowing (unless of course you are into telepathic communication!!!!). And if he has all this money he needs to buy his own tools. Again, just my perspective. Sorry that I misunderstood the situation previously. Eli
