We had a great discussion going on about promoting your lawn care business through schools by teaching mower safety. Here is a lawn mower safety worksheet that you can hand out to the kids in the class and they can color it in and write in the different things you need to wear to be safe.

Here is a free lawn care flyer you can download and edit. The goal of this flyer is to make the reader think of all the lawn care and landscape projects they started that never got finished. Or the all the landscape projects they wanted to do but never got a chance to start. Make your flyer stand out from others by helping the customer solve a problem they have.

For many homeowners, having a neighbor not clean up after their dog on their property, is a maddening experience. What if you offered to solve this problem?

What if you offered a service where you had a wireless camera and a used laptop you could rent to a homeowner to monitor their property for say a week. The offending neighbor could be caught on tape and the homeowner could use the footage to file a complaint at the town hall.

You could also offer to sell them other lawn care services while you set up this service.

It's a unique service and a unique idea that might be a way for you to stand out and get an in with a new customer.

Maybe you could have a yard sign that warns dog walkers the lawn is now monitored and offenders will be prosecuted.
