Lawn care business tips
Tim I just watched it.

Now give us the low down. There are many new members here that don't know the back story to this.

Tell us about what you are doing with your dog and what the video is able to do as far as bringing attention to your project.

OH WOW!

Tell us more about that? I'd love to see how you do that? What kind of tools do you use? How long does it take?

I can't draw so when I burn one of these I get a picuture already drawn up and use it as a template, I transfer the picuture using carbon paper. Then you take the tool or what I like to call it "pen" and trace the outline which is optional but I like to do it to give it more depth. then you just shade it in but this time you change the tip on the pen to the shading tip. It's just like drawing but with pyrography very little pressure is needed to burn other wise the wood will burn too fast and the pic would not look right, I actually did this on the pic I posted if you look at the smoke in the pic you can see what I mean. It takes time to do this, That pic took me I think two weeks in segments of two or three hours.

This pen is not mine but I have one that looks like this and this is what I use. It has different tips to do different jobs with the pen.

Here is a video that I found on you tube...

The pen this person is using is different than mine, this one you can adjust the heat range. the pen can get hotter to make a more broad and darker line. this is a really great hobby and very relaxing I would advise anybody to give this a try who know maybe they will be good at this. once I get another digital camera I will take some more pics of the pictures I have burned and post theme.

That is awesome! I bet you could make a cool one out of your logo too!

You know what would be neat as far as a promotional idea. What if you created one say of a local historical building? Or maybe your townhall? Or maybe of your mayor and then present either the town or your mayor with one of them. I bet you could get yourself in the local paper.

Maybe if you did one of a local historical building, you could give it to them to auction off as a fundraiser?

Maybe you could do one of a local firehouse with the firetruck out front and present it to them and send a letter to the paper along with a picture of you presenting it to them.

I bet if you thought for a few, you could come up with a ton of ways you could make one and give it away to an organization that could then raffle it off and raise money for the organization.

Then you could get publicity and that publicity would help bring more awareness about your lawn care business as well.

You know that is not a bad idea, I think I will have to break out the wood and start getting some idea's.

And I was planning on doing one of my logo, was going to hang it in my trailer (when I get it) Waiting on taxes.

I'd love to see it on your trailer!

This could even open up bigger opportunities for you if you were to make wooden signs with a router!
