Where in Florida are you located sir?

You only need Workmans Comp. Insurance if you have employees, right? Atleast that's how it is in my state of Oregon, but you do need Liability Insurance, which I get from my local American Family Insurance Rep., its fairly inexpensive for 1 Million worth of coverage I pay $45/Month, this covers my equipment as well for theft and damage, up to 5K worth.

Here in Florida, even if you are a sole proprieter with no employees you either need workers comp or have to file an application for exemption with the state.
I am comp exempt myself, though my employees are covered through my payroll service.
