Fall yard cleanup service to offer

Anyone who has a house and a yard tends to collect a lot of junk they wish they could just get rid of each year. Sometimes though it's such a pain in the butt to get rid of the stuff, that it just collects. It's a pain to haul it to the curb. Or the town won't pick some stuff up. Our homes & yards become filled with junk. Why not do this. Create a flyer that promotes a Spring and Fall Home and Yard Cleanup. Hand them out to your neighbors. Get a dumpster delivered to your home and put a banner on it to promote that it's now time to clean up your yard. Then your neighbors can call you to come over and remove junk from their yard and house they just don't want anymore. You can charge them either by weight or weight and time or time alone. Figure out how much it would cost to get a dumpster delivered and then you can figure how much you need to charge. This is a very unique service that will really do great things for your neighborhood and endear you to your neighbors. Plus it can make you money in the fall and early spring.

I added a new flyer template for this. Notice it says Fall Clean Up Week. The goal is to instill a sense of urgency to get the customer to call you. The flyer says you are renting a dumpster for one week only so they will want to call you asap. Click here to download the lawn care flyer.

Hey Steve.
These are some great ideas. I think if someone followed you idea, it would work. Have you priced dumpster rentals? I dont know how much they are, but when my dad was doing construction, I remember him renting some like the one in the picture. He would demolish buildings and stuff.

I seem to remember that they are not cheap, so you would definitely have to get you customers lined up before you placed the order. Thanks for putting this idea up for everyone to use/work from.

--> Very good point. Even if you didn't rent the dumpster, you could use it in your flyer as a marketing gimmick to get people to call.

You could simply go to the different houses and just haul the trash to a local dump. Of course you would want to find your local township dump fees.

I was reading an article on what is called 'value added junk hauling.' What this is, people will pay a premium to have junk hauled from their home or yard, if it is done by a clean looking company, especially owned by a member of their community. The junk hauling industry didn't think this was possible. But now look around and you will see many new 'boutique' junk hauling business that are growing to fill this need.
