Lawn care business tips

My first mower was a 22" Murray Big Wheel 5 hp push lawn mower. I started my business with less than $500. Mower $169 Blower $99 Weateater $129 Extras: Gas tank, gloves, safety goggle, hearing protectors, etc. * Within a few months I graduated to a 48" Snapper walkbehind. It always interests me the differing philosophies people have with starting their business. Steve, remind me...didn't we have a poster on the board a couple months ago wanting to get $100,000 in business credit to start the business? I still say some of the best lawn care businesses are the ones that begin with the least amount of money because those are the ones who know how to make the most of each purchasing decision. Keith

I can't remember that specific one but I know business credit comes up often here. I like this post because it shows you that you don't need to spend much to get started.

It's hard enough to learn to swim when you have never been in water, why make it more difficult on yourself by weighing yourself down with unnecessary debt.

I 100% agree with you. Don't get a loan. Just work the best with what you have until you can afford to get new.
