Hey guys my name is Paul.
I'm am currently 15 years old and started in this business in 6th grade. Back then I used a small toro 21 inch and had maybe one or 2 lawns. After a year or two with that I bought a used craftsman rider. I slowly began picking up more business and now I am cutting 13 yards per week. I have a commercial 52 inch wb, stihl trimmers and blowers and a nice 5'8 trailer. My goal is to expand my business so I can make a lot of extra cash.
I entered this business after meeting my relater who told me about how he made 1000 dollars a week his Sr. year of high school. I thought that would be a lot nicer than making minimum wage at some boring job and I'm glad I did. So far i've been able to buy tons of cool stuff and at the same time invest a lot of my money in roth rias.

I love how I can cut and trim someones yard in 30 minutes and make a 30 dollar profit. Plus I enjoy cutting the grass!

Did you mean a retailer? I am not sure what you meant.

Do you have any family members that run their own businesses or are you the first in your family to be an entrepreneur?

You seem very advanced for your age and it looks like you are getting a lot of business advice.

Yeah thats what I meant, sorry I ran spell check and didn't even notice I had wrote that.
Yeah I'm the first in my family to start my own business, my dad though has been a great help,he never gave me money even though he could have and if I wanted to buy something he made me buy it. This motivated me to do work and then I realized it was fun being able to make money and now its great since I am making 1220 a month while other kids have 100 dollars in their bank account.
He also has given me a bunch of books to read about business's and life in general and all the stuff has really motivated me to get out there and try stuff. I attempted to start a eBay business with some of my lawn mowing cash but even though i made money it wasn't worth the time, but I learned a lot from their also. The one thing that I've learned is reading seems like a shortcut in life. You can learn things that other people learned through years of experience in a paragraph.
This website has been great for me so far I read about how to make an add and put one out and got three calls in 1 day and I really appreciate the work you've put into this website and its so cool that you spend the time to help people out.

Hi Paul,

I love reading books too.

Here is my list of books I have read

http://www.gophergraphics.com/forum....792;r=1

Could you tell us some of the books you read?

I try to get our forum members to add to the book list here so if you could, that would be awesome.

http://www.gophergraphics.com/forum....t=6553;

What did you do on ebay? What did you think of that experience and how did you initially come up with that idea?

Well you might find this somewhat fascinating, I did when I first learned about it, video games are getting very completive and many people are aiming to get professional contracts signed with MLG-which is now hosted on Espn. Espn says that MLG is the largest growing sport in America. So what I did is I found a game called Call of duty 4 and I found instructions to solder a microchip into an xbox controller that would add an extra button that would allow players to shoot their guns 10-20 faster, and since all gamers were looking for an edge I could sell these things for 120 a piece. Problem I had was the installation took hours and was very frustrating, I ended up selling ten but it ended up being too time consuming since I kept messing up.

You should definitely read these books I didn't see them on your list. Each page is filled with great business tips.

first one is "How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie"

second one "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Stephen F. Covey's"

Third one "How to Think Like the World's Greatest Masters of M & A"
