Lawn Maintenance / Lawn Renovation
A great way to talk about all things lawn care related. Grass, turf, shrubs, trees, aeration, fertilization, reseeding, hydro-seeding, mowing, grub control, chemicals and pesticides. Ask questions, give answers. Grow!

What's in your organic lawn care tea?

Are you making your own lawn care organic tea? What's in it? What do you think about what is in Natural Earth Solutions' tea?

Organic lawn care grows amid concerns for environment - Cotton seeds, pasteurized chicken manure and peat moss may not sound appetizing to most of us, but your lawn will probably find them quite tasty. This unusual blend is what Wayne Lee calls "health food for grass."

Owner of Natural Earth Solutions, a local lawn care business, Lee said the organic mix produces healthy yards without the toxicity of chemical applications.

"I focus on what makes the grass grow," he said. "Get the soil back to the level it needs to be, give the grass organic matter to eat and you'll see great results."

Lawn care business tipsLawn Care Business Book
the only problem about organic products is that you have to apply more of it, and it's more expensive. You may be "saving" the environment, but you are actually spending a lot more time and money on it.

Do you think this business will ultimately survive or is the organic part going to make it more difficult for them?

I think that the organic part will survive. You just have to find the right market. Give it about 10 years, and it will be booming probably
