do you like horror films?

hey guys, *as many of you know I left the green industry a while back to pursue a career in film production. *Thus far its been going well. *my first script was picked up by the producer of Sling Blade. I actually have been designing a marketing campaign for it that is very interactive. you can check it out at www.jointhefollowing.com anyway, *aside from that film, I have been working on getting a much smaller budget film off the ground. *This film has a budget of 100K. *we took in 20k thus far. * best way to get a look at our project is thru this site http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1235194/ it lists everyone involved, and what work they have done before. *Our crew and our cast is pretty impressive for a film with a budget of 100k. *but we still need 80k to shoot it this fall. *so, if anyone would like to be a film producer, here is your shot. *Our deal is simple. *your return is your investment, plus 20%. *on top of that, whatever percent of the film your investment is worth, you will get that percent on the backend of the film. *Thats the deal we propose to anyone and everyone who we pitch our projects too. * Minimum investment is $1,000.00 max is $80,000.00 now, two extra incentives. the highest investor will be the one who gets to take advantage of the pennsylvania tax credit. 90% of this film will be filmed in PA. Pennsylvania offers a 25% tax credit, paid at the completion of the film. The credit can be sold to a broker at 90cents to the dollar. So lets say you invest 40k. You would only be risking 30k because your guarunteed 10 grand back at the completion of the film. and eligable to any investor is tax code 181. and film investment is 100% tax deductable, so instead of paying Uncle Sam this year, invest in a movie and actually profit something. We know just as well as anyone that we are in a bit of an economic recession, however, the film industry is one the most profitable industries in history, *and has never once felt the affect of the economy. *This film has some serious legs, and Larry Meistrich is eyeing it for theatrical distribution. Anthony, This is fascinating stuff! Are there any websites that help a movie producer raise funding? A little while back we had one of our lawn care forum members raise money for his new lawn care business through a site called http://www.prosper.com Maybe such a site could be helpful to you as well?

unfortunately there is not. However, as luck would have it, I got a 2am phone call last night (time zone difference I guess) from Patrick Durham, he produced one of the after dark films, "tooth & Nail" as well as a whole bunch of films. He is interested in my film, plus he wants to up the budget to get better equipment.
