I know theres been some talks about cutting the amount of H2B workers allowed into the US this year. As of middle of Feb, I read that they havent given the same approval amount as last year. What I read stated that last year 330,000 H2B workers got seasonal visa to work in various industries in the US. As of middle of Feb, US was only approving 66,000 H2B permits. (If anyone has anymore details about this, Id love to hear more) So my question is, Would you hire an illegal to replace a H2B worker from last year, and what additional thoughts do you have about this subject. KEEP IT CLEAN, I KNOW THIS IS A HOT TOPIC RIGHT NOW. Please negative remarks about Mexicans or Peurto Ricans!!

Lawn care business tips

Nope I would not. It always pissed me off when I see 30 immigrants working for a construction company & americans can't get a job. It may cost me a bit in my bottom line but it's just the principal. I can't compete on some bids because I have to pay help a fair wage & that bites, but so be it. Shame on the folks who hire the companies that employ these people! ... But you aleady knew my thoughts on this Jamie.

One of my brothers is an Account manager for a larger LC and told me of the H2B problem, he said his company was one of the few getting the hispanic help. Looks like some of those "management" types may have to actually work.......bwwhahaa

I know of another guy with a small LC and he actually uses an illegal.(not me, I have two yards at present time, I can get that done solo)


I am 100% against illegals working here, and 100% for legals to have the right to work here.

They're worried about illegal immigration INTO Mexico?

Don't have to deal with the Mexicans in the Great White North. We have a lot of Asians in Vancouver, but it's not difficult to become a landed immigrant in Canada because of our willingness to accept immigrants. We had some problems with illegals showing up in rusty old boats a while back, but they mostly became landed immigrants anyways.

The law here in florida says if the coast gaurd can catch illegal immigrants while still in the water, No matter how crude their boat is they can turn them away, even if their 20 yards off the shore, If they make it to the beach.... You then have to catch them & deal with deportation. A couple years ago a group of cubans took a 1957-58 chevy pick up truck, removed the wheels, & installed pontoons under each side of the truck, dropped the drive shaft down & made some kind of bracket to hold it & stuck a propeller on the end of it with some really crude steering ruder off the rear bumper. They had like 20 guys on it, They beached it & took off running! (They found the truck abandonded I don't know what happened to it)
Wouldn't that be cool to have a truck out on the water? Peaple would flip out! You could stand in the bed & fish! You could hook up a trailer ( another boat ) & tow an old mower around on it for boat parades on mardi gras! Logo it up for your company & get some attention that way! haha

If you like amphibious pickup trucks, you'll enjoy this. The clips are from a British car show from the BBC called Top Gear, possibly one of the greatest TV shows ever. The comedy makes more sense when you know the hosts, but it's still pretty funny.
