btw - thanks you fourseasons for the advice on honda harmony, but there does not seem to be any deals around here and honda does have a good reputation. Let me know what you think of the above. found it on craigs list. The ad says "The mower is a Sutech Stealth. This is a commercial grade mower, with a 33" deck. Its is self propelled with zero turn. The engine is a Briggs and Straton 10Hp. The mower has less than 10hrs on it. Original cost $1,300." Is it worth taking a look at?

Well, you have to consider some things before you take time out of your day to go look at it.
Is the maker of the mower in business?
Can you still get parts for the mower? -blades, belts, cables, sensors, bearings, pulleys, etc.
(You can still get b&s engine parts)
Does it look cheap or well built?
Can it handle being beat on used for 7-15 or however many lawns a day?

To me it looks like a mower built for homeowner use. But you have to start somewhere but I don't think that would be one to start with. Not for $800. I would pay 200-400 depending on if you can still get parts or not. If you can't get parts I wouldn't waste your time.
I bought a brand new Toro 22" from home depot that lasted about 5 months of mowing 3-4 days a week. I just took it in for warranty work because the self propel stopped working. If its not built for commercial use then its gonna break fast and thats not brand new. I haven't used it in a while cuz I got my hondas now.
I also just picked up a used Toro 36" proline wb. This thing is great for my first bigger mower. It cuts my time down considerably. I traded it for a 2001 wrecked street bike that I was trying to sell for $2000. He's also paying for a tuneup and blade sharpen on it with the trade. So the mower was worth about $1600 I guess.
My point after rambling on is if you are considering this $800 one then you might as well put up a little more cash and get something built to withstand day to day use.
I'm not an expert but i used to be a lawn mower/ small engine mechanic about 5 years ago and I know that alot of cheap mowers that you don't see very often are hard to get parts for and break easy.
I think that thing would end up sitting in the corner of your back yard for 5 years with a tarp over it.

I could be wrong though.

Well after all that they are a maker of commercial mowers.
Heres their website: www.sutechusa.com
Go check it out and read about it. I've still never heard of it.
