stealthdumptrucks, have you ever used google analytics? If yes how would you compare it to extreme tracking? I have never used extreme tracking so I was just wondering if maybe it's better or not?

I use extremetracking.com because it's simple and easy to add. I haven't gone deep enough into the google offering to know if it's better. I don't think I need it for my site anyway.

I am checking that site out.

I wonder how it compares to report tools some may have access through their servers?

It's easier to use than logging into the server. *One or two clicks and you're into what you want to see. *From there go anywhere without touching the keyboard.

I have to mention though that logging into the server will show you the files requested. That's how I discovered the search engines were looking for my robot.txt and robots.txt files. I'm also getting pinged for favicon.ico which I've yet to develop.

The icon image is another little add-on that I think many websites miss as well. I don't know what it really offers the reader except for seeing a small icon in their browser. But it is good to point out how to make it.
