A very cool free voting system from http://polldaddy.com/. Adds interactivity to your website. Also by signing up you are able to produce detailed reports on your polls. Check it out in action on my website.

Lawn care business tips
Hi Richard!

That is very neat! How do you think that is made? Is that a php script? Is that something you could put together yourself as well if you wanted to?

Java Script...if you know the language you could build a simple one yes...however you won't get the very detailed reporting tools bundled with it.

Oh ok so the power is in the reporting.

Could you take a screen cap of one of their sample reports to show us what you mean?

Neat. I will have to check that out.

I've used SurveyMonkey.com in the past but PollDaddy looks better.

Thanks:

Keith

What kinds of surveys have you used it for?

I have used it for customer surveys to judge level of satisfaction and to determine where my advertising dollars are better spent.

Polls are great if you can actually get people to participate. You almost have to give an incentive to entice people fill one out completely.

Ahh very good point. How true is that. We can have polls on here at times with hundreds of views and only a handful of votes! That's why I was wondering how useful you find them to be.

but it is also easier to get someone to participate when the poll is on the front page...you don't have to find it or open a forum to locate it. The question and the answers are right there.

You also need questions that are important to people. And if they no it can directly affect them...they'll vote.
