logo.gif does not show up on the 'home' page sunflower_2.gif does not show up on the 'about us' page I think those are the only two. The site knows that the pics are suppose to be there, make sure that your file location is correct (the link to the photo) A better way to organize your pics is to place them in a folder called 'images' and make sure that you update your links. ie /images/logo.gif also make sure that your images are indeed saved in gif, by the looks of it they are saved in .html format. Your file and file location need to be the same in opening an image. Hope this helps.

okay, I checked all the files, all locations are good. the pics show up fine when I open the html documents from my FTP, but after I upload it all to my webspace my pics don't work. what could happen in the upload process to screw this up? Any suggestions ?
I didn't try a separate folder because all the othe images are not separated so it shouldn't matter . . ?

This picture does not exist.

Find your logo2.gif file and ftp it into your dragonflylawn directory. Let us know if that resolves this.

I agree with TG, it looks like you don't have your image uploaded just your html.

alright guys . . . bear with me please, this is my first experience.

here goes:

when I am running my FTP program, there are two sides to the screen. on the left is the place for files in my computer, on the right is the place for files that are in my webspace(server).

After I put my info into the Webtemplate5 folder I got from Gopher, I open it on the left of my FTP. I then select all the files and drag them to the right side and upload them to my server. ALL the files are there, I checked them all.

Now**when I select an html document on the left (computer side) of the screen and choose to view it my pictures show up on the "webpage" so I know the file locations are correct, however when I select an html document from the right (server side) of the screen, my pictures don't work but the rest of the "webpage" and other pictures do.

So, my software is telling me the files are there, but to anyone(including me) trying to view the website the files aren't there. Why would my .gif images get treated any differently?

everything works until it leaves my computer.

Hi Dragonfly,

The first thing I would say is that the logo file isn't getting to your server. How do you check this? Well here is the link you are setting up in your html http://members.cox.net/dragonflylawn/logo2.gif

If that logo2.gif file is in that directory, the image will appear when that link is clicked on. Since it is not there when you click on the link it says

Not Found
The requested URL /dragonflylawn/logo2.gif was not found on this server.

So, your first step is to try and get that file uploaded. Try to focus on only that one file so as you won't get confused with hundreds of others.
