I found this dewalt 3750 psi @ 4 gpm on the side of the road. It was beat, the flywheel wouldnt move, the rims are rotted in half, bolts are missing all over. Assuming the 13 hp honda motor is good and the pump is bad I take it home with me.

First I pull the recoil off. Theres a mouse home in there. The flywheel is completely rusted in place or I think so. I spray it down with wd40 and manage to move it with a ratchet a few hours later and my mechanic told me it was the piston.

Today I go out there empty gas, clean the carb which had oil in it, clean the air filter, put some oil in it. I get her running pretty quick.

Now I hook water up and its spewing every direction. I notice all the bolts are loose or missing on the pump. I tighten them finger tight. Hook up a gun and wallah the pump works.

I still have a leak where the hose connects and missing a few bolts but a $1200 pressure washer for free none to less. Going to order some tune up parts and use it as a back up.

Haha, nothing beats free.

a buddy of mine gave me a Echo PB-410 yesterday. Has been sitting a barn without a spark plug since he graduated highschool in '07.

It had dirt dobbers nest down on the piston built up all the way out of the spark plug hole.

I got it home at 830 last night and by 1030 i had a completely moveable piston.

Cleaned the piston walls and piston with some carb cleaner, and lubed them with some 10w-30 synthetic.

After i got it all back together, and pulled it a couple of times with no spark plug, i set the blower on fire.... i guess i sprayed a little too much carb cleaner.

I did stop and get a plug today, homefully the carburetor is still in decent shape. It was ran out of fuel before being set up in '07.

Free is free.

The crazy part is people dont take care of their equipment. This thing had to be left outside for years. I didnt expect it to be fully functional. I think the guy was rebuilding the pump because it was open. Not sure what happen there but I'm glad it did.

All I need is a gun, air filter, tires and paint. Then I have to figure out a way to attach the recoil. The bolts broke off in the holes. I have it ziptied right now. It only took me a hour to fix this. So when its all said and done $50 and a hour of labor.

Go get some Air Kroil, its in an orange and white can. Its puts WD-40 to shame. Spray it twice a day for two days. Then get you a bolt extractor set. Shouldn't have a problem. If it doesn't work at least you have the extractor set handy. I had to do this after I torqued off the bolt that holds my brake caliper on my truck. Wasn't a pretty situation but those extractor sets are a maricle.

I do not use WD-40 for anything other then starting engines. And for the most part I use carb cleaner for that. However I have started using sili-kroil for my penetrating oil as it seems to work better on the multiple applications better then aero-kroil does. I still do have aero-kroil though for use in the drill press and lathe.

to buy it you have to goto http://www.kanolabs.com/ they do not sell the stuff in stores.

That's awesome to find such a great piece of equipment, and with alittle bit of elbow grease to get it working properly again.

I only tried it when they shipped the wrong stuff. I ordered one and got the other. I was happy with the new stuff though
