I bought the mower the other day. The guy delivered it 20 miles to my house in a 26' box truck for free. That was kinda cool.
To get it into the backyard, I had my dad sit on the deck and spray starter fluid into the intake manifold while I moved it. That was also a hoot. The machine runs amazingly.

Apparently, it has a Kohler V-twin 20hp motor. Some of the intake plastics are missing. I have the carb, but I need the air box, airbox plate, and some linkage I think. Probably $100 on ebay unless someone happens to have the parts laying around for sale.

Sold the mower today, as-is, for $750.

I was considering putting in the $50-100 in parts to get it running right, but I figured someone else can have the headache.
As simple as it seems, nothing ever turns out as easy as how you predict it. I made healthy profit for having it delivered, and picked up. All I did was store it ~2 weeks.

I explained above, 1 in hand is better than 2 in the bush.

I could have fixed it, but it would have been a hassle. The guy offered me $430 profit for doing ZERO work. I said "yeahh...I can live with that".

The mower was useless to me. I had no way to transport it. I was hoping to trade for a smaller mower, but that wasn't really turning into a realistic goal.
"Hi, I saw your nice 48 inch (blah blah) for sale on craigslist, I was wondering if I could trade you a semi-beat 61" Scag that doesn't run (under it's own power)?"
$750 cash right now is more useful to me than possibly $1100 cash in a month or two after I spend $100 and 5 hours on the mower.

Don't get me wrong, the mower was by no means perfect. It was a very much used, and probably occasionally abused mower. Needed a caster wheel, airbox, oil change, hydro fluid change, new blades, had a gash in the deck, bent/broken hand controls, etc.

Like I said, a heavily used mower.
