Anyone from georgia, willing to point me in the right direction on getting my applicators license, and business licenses in marietta area. Also does anyone know of a town or city around the cobb, cherokee county area where you can run a lawn care business from your home? I plan on starting my business in Sept 2014 when i am complete with my military service, I am just trying to get a jump on what I can now. Also how can I become more knowledgeable in when it comes to knowing turf and weeds and how to handle different types of lawns issuses that may arise.

Do some research on the internet and you'll get answers to your questions. Your state should have that info. I know some states you don't need a license to do lawncare. Congrats on getting out soon! Its a great opportunity for you to start your own company. Unemployment for vets is and has been very high. Join in with us and read as much as you can! A lot of these guys know a lot and can point you in the right direction.

Get the book called "Lawncare for Dummy's". I'm not joking. In Hall Co. I just told Zoning and Planning about running it from home and it was no big deal. They just checked to make sure my property tax was payed. Oh, I'm in Gainesville.
