Default Help bid on pavers job.

I got to do an estimate laying down some pavers. My concern is, I have never laid them down before. Is it hard, easy? Any points on how I could learn real quick?

Lawn care business tips
If you don't have any idea on how to put pavers in then why are you doing it?
Its a specific process to install pavers correctly. Take some courses and become proficient at it first. Then start small.

No offense, but guys doing work that they don't know how to do makes us all look bad, and hurts our industry.

Stick to what you are good at.

Don't even try it if you have never done it before....

Check around and try to find someone that has the know how and get them to bid the job for you, Ask them to let you be involved and learn from it....

This is what I was thinking as well. I just need to find someone that will help me out and not be stingy about it.

Yes and no. It's not really a big job though.

Can you give us a little more background to this job? Is this a job where the customer bought the supplies and ran out of energy to perform the work or are you starting the project from scratch?

Also what is the goal? A walkway, a patio? Something else?

I stick with what I know-I tell the customer ' no problem, let me get my estimate together and I'll send it to you.' Then I call guy I know who does that work, get his estimate add 100 dollars referral fee and send it to the customer. If he accepts it he contracts with the installer not me, and life is good.

Well I told the customer I was going to have my friend take a look at it. Then, 5 minutes later he called me back saying he had some bills that came up and they wouldnt be able to pay for the job. He would keep me in mind for next time though. So who knows if thats the truth or not.

If you have a friend that knows how to perform such jobs, maybe you could tag along with him one day and give his some help to learn what he does.
