I'm getting more calls from people who found me on google than anything. so far, no calls from the doorhangers.. no calls from postcards... no calls from having my biz name and info on the truck.. most searched lawn care and my city, or lawn maintenance and my city... on either yelp or google. i think yelp has been getting me more calls than anything.

so, SEO good, doorhanger distribution seems like a bust.. so far. gonna hang onto the doorhangers i have to put out in neighborhoods i'm already working in.

i am suprised that i picked up 3 mowing accounts the past 2 days and its january. grass doesn't start needing cutting till around march or so.

Lawn care business tips
Well it certainly is a good thing that you are tracking all of this to know what works and what doesn't.

From here, where do you feel you will take your marketing?

u will start getting calls around march and April get ready for a high volume of clients that flyer is hot, u will get calls. i have had calls a year after from my flyers and i probably only done around 1, 500 in a two year period. im getting ready this year to do 5,000 0r 10.000 if i get 30 to 50 more clients this year ill be super happy keep hanging those flyers , remember ur best advertisement ur lawns. people is always looking.

the next place i put advertising dollars would either be facebook campaign or possibly google adwords. I am getting a few calls each week.

Picked up 1 aeration job for saturday, just a little one time job.. it was from one of my post cards.. that one job won't even cover near what i paid for the mailers.. and the guy is deadset on doing his on lawn,.. so probally no chance for future work there, but i will give him some cards. i think this year is already looking better than i thought it would.

You can always look around while you are there for other jobs to perform. Plus you can drop off flyers or postcards at his neighbors while you are there as well.

Maybe something like this:

i was gonna use them last month, i asked them a question and they never returned my e-mail. i had doubts that they could deliver anything on time if they couldn't answer an e-mail. i was gonna give them a call, but i had ended up picking up cardstock and hole punch from the craft store. in the future, i doubt i'll make them on my own again. way to much of a hassle. my 2 printers both print lopsided so i had to deal with that issue.. then cutting all the paper was a big pain. i had to limit the images on the card to save ink to save that extra money.

There is a larger one that you can edit with a graphics program in the free lawn care flyer section here.

Scroll down and you will see a picture of it. There is one that has more blank space and it is a lot larger when you click on it.
