Lawn care business tips
If all of that is going on one flyer, it is going to be way to busy.

I am starting this spring, my first year.
I have a DBA, a Texas Sale and Use Tax Permit a Federal EIN. I dont know of any license that I would need. You are not required to have a license in Texas to apply fertilizer "Applicators who apply only fertilizer do not need to be licensed by either agency." This quote was taken directly from the Texas Department of Agriculture web site. As far as adjusting and inspecting sprinkler heads, you dont need a license to do general maintenace work on a residential sprinkler system. I am not advertising changing out any heads or anything else that would open the system to atmosphere. You do need a license to do that. Having stated that if I break a customers sprinkler head I will replace it.
What licenses are you referring to?
And as far as the flyer being way too busy..... How do I get all of my services and costs to potential customers if I dont include all of my services and the costs.
I do appreciate the feedback.

I have been under the impression that we are required to have one. Would you mind linking me into were you read that? It would save me a lot of headaches and open me up for bigger profits.

Thanks!!

This is the link to the Texas Dept. of Agriculture. It is under the prsticides applicators section. It is a little confusing but the first paragrapgh on this page states what I quoted.
Take a look and let me know how you interpret it.
Thanks

You can add a little bit more, but try not to cram in everything you do. You only have seconds to capture someones attention. Usually they look towards the middle of the page, then read the top. The less "clutter" the better.

This year I am going to hang door hangers in my target areas myself. No fliers. I will knock the doors and hand them a flier. I know I might get some negative feedback but what I am really excited about is the people that answer the door and show an interests. I believe I can sale them. On my fliers in the past I never put my company name at the top, I put it along with my contact information at the bottom. I use the top for services. You can't put to much on a flier or else it looks crowded and to cluttered. This is just how I do it.
