My name is Brian, we've been in business for over 10 years now. We mow and we do landscape. My father and I started the business, but now I think I need to step up and let my dad retire. When we started the company we were doing great but now we are struggling, and I want to change that. I will be posting a fyler that I created later and I will be glad if you guys can give me pointers on making it better.

As far as the flyer goes.

What is your thought as to why you are promoting under new management? How is that something that is going to help grab the readers eye or get them to call you? If it's not going to help, what else can you put at the top to get the reader to jump on your offer?

With the flyer I agree with Steve. Why promote new management?
Why not state something like 2 generations caring for your yard or something like that.
Also what are you doing now and what did you do when you were more successful? Think about that, put it on paper.
I know we all get burned out, but keep the focus if you can and get excited about the coming season.
Customers can tell when your excited!!!
I am introducing new services to my customers this year and am really excited about them, hence my customers embrace it because of my level of excitement.

Can you give an example of this? How do you inject excitement into the sales process or marketing of new services in a way that gets the customer excited too?

Last year we started topdressing thin or troubled lawns with pellitized leaf compost. We would aerate, compost and slit seed.
Some just got compost. We saw excellent results doing that.
Most of our soils are clay here, so any organic help is valuable. We also used a 40% organic fertilizer which adds an organic layer on every application.
I have so much fun telling customers about our new products and services. They can sense the excitement in your presentation, and we back it up with before and after pictures. Part of selling is believing in your product or service and installing confidence in the customer that you know what your doing.
Those are my techniques!
